New job(s) and spring

I'm up to 19 followers? When did that happen? I never really ever use my blog, I should probably get back into the habit of this. So I have some really good news. I am finally done with school and my internship at the hospital. It really felt like it took forever but I am so happy to be done. For the month of March I interviewed everywhere and things were looking hopeless. Everyone was looking for people who had experience and since I am brand new to the medical field that just wasn't me. At the end of March I interviewed at a place for a part time position. I ended up getting the position. The manager told me if I was a good worker she would try to get me hours but couldn't promise full time hours. So last Monday was my first day and I really loved it. The clinic is really nice and the people are incredible. They are so helpful and really will do anything for anyone so it was nice adjustment. I"m not going to lie it was a huge adjustment to go back to full time but it definitely got me off my lazy butt. So after my first week on friday I got a phone call from another clinic offering me a full time job. I was really torn on what to do. I knew I could keep both jobs since the part time job really was only suppose to be every other saturday so I'd only work it 2 days a month but at the same time I felt almost like a traitor for thinking about the new job. I came home and talked to ricky about it and we came to the decision that I would take the new job and keep both. After talking to my boss she was totally understanding but mentions multiple times a day that I'm only on loan until a full time spot comes about. It feels so good to know that I have a job and that things are going to be ok. It really proves to me that everything happens for a reason and god always looks out for you in one way or another. I was really worried about not being able to find a job after school and feeling like a failure but that is now one thing I don't have to worry about :) Now I will be busy then ever but all for a good cause. Hopefully everything works out for the best and I can't wait to see what comes my way now.

Brand new adventure

I can't believe its been a year and a half since I last blogged. Here I was sitting here thinking that it was very recent, meaning less then a year ago. Boy... was I wrong. Coming back to the blog however has reminded me of all the hard work I put in on all my scrapbooking and it is nice to look back on what I did in the past.

So where have I been the last year and a half? In school. Ricky (my boyfriend of 7 years) finally said I needed to figure out what I wanted to do in life. This put me on a course that lead me to the Medical Assistant field. At first I thought I wanted to be a nurse but after careful consideration I decided I would rather work a normal 40 hour work week with a normal 8am-5pm schedule, have weekends off and no have to worry about being on call. So I dug my feet in and so far haven't looked back. I finished school a week and a half ago and I am scared to adventure out on my own but I also can't wait. I know I'll do great because I do well on my own but I can't ignore the butterflies in my stomach either.

This transitions me into my new adventure. While in school I took up a new hobby. I started to crochet. It started out very innocently by crocheting a few blankets. Next I decided to crochet a baby hat. I posted it to my facebook wall and before I knew it I had quite a few people asking me to make them for them. After a few orders my friend Kristin told me to post them online. I figured "why not?" I gave it a try and so far it has exceeded my expectations. I don't know if the website is generating the success or if the referrals of people are doing it but I am ever so grateful! I don't know if I will continue to do this while doing my internship but it sure is a great stress reliever! I'm also thinking my next adventure will be to make patterns and see how that goes. Ahhhhh.... Maybe this will be my New Years resolution! It would be so nice to finally achieve a New Year's resolution for once. Ok with that said I shall leave you with a few pictures of things I've done and my site www.etsy.com/shop/chrystalj1204 .

Early morning

Today was the first morning since day light savings time that my child has woke up earlier then 8am and its killing me! I know most children wake up at 7am or earlier but I am truly blessed, Cody on average sleeps in until 8:30-9am. I should re-think having another child someday because I know the next one is going to be a little terror because I had it so easy the first time :)

Life has been very busy these last couple weeks. It seems like i always have something going on! I really love having the free schedule though, so much less stress and I'm getting so much more done now :) One thing I'm finally getting used to is that no matter how much I clean my house will always be messy, not dirty, but messy. Even if I walked behind cody with a trash can and vaccum cleaner he would still leave my house messy.

Recently Circuit City went out of business and I snatched up an awesome Nikon s52C digital camera. I needed a little portable camera that took really good pictures so I didn't have to worry about ruining my SLR. I am becoming more and more amazed with the awesome pictures it is taking. I will leave you guys with a photo of Cody at the zoo. I hope the weather is great where you are.

Enjoying my time off...

So it has been 3 weeks now that i have been done working and I must say its very odd. I thought I would totally love having the free time, but honestly I don't feel like I have free time. In the 3 weeks that I have been off I have had 2 honest "ME" days where I just enjoyed my day. The rest of my days have been consumed with errands, cleaning the house and spending time with Cody and my mom. I can't really complain though because I really love that I get to enjoy my life. I miss all the wonderfull ladies I worked with though :(

Ok on to something a little bit more fun.... I created two really cute cards tonight. I used the new stampendous rubber cling stamps for the sentiment and The older laundry line by My Minds Eye. They turned out super cute. I didn't embelish them too much because I wanted a crisp clean look.

Now I'm off to bed good night everyone!
